Jharkhand at a Glance
    The formation of state of Jharkhand on 15th Nov. 2000, was the culmination of long struggle and persistence of the people of the area. The land of Jharkhand preserve a treasure of natural resources which shall be the foundation of overall development of the people. Ranchi is the capital city of Jharkhand.


Out of the total area of jharkhand (79714 sq. km) only 23 % of the land area (30 lac Hectares is cultivable. Jharkhand is a paradise of tourism, with a number of water falls like Burhaghag, Hundru, Jonha, Dasam & Moti falls etc. Netarhat is famous for sun rise and sun set. Parasnath is the highest hills in the land of Jharkhand with a jain temple on its top. Deoghar (Baba Dham) district is famous for its Shravani Mela. Betla and Hazaribagh National Parks at night can be seen with a thrilling experience.
 A visit to Birsa Jaibik Uddan and Crocodile breeding centre near Ormanjhi is a must for everybody. Sarhul, Karma, Sohrai, Jani Shikar, Manda, Rath yatra mela and many other village fairs, Baisakhi, Dussehra, Durga Puja, dewali, Holi, Independence day, Saraswati Puja, Idd, Muharram, Christmas, Good Friday etc. are celebrated by the people of Jharkhand.

East Geology Jharkhand is considered to be a part of the Gondwanaland. So it has geological and structural formation raring from the earliest period to the recent. Granite and gneisses dominate about ninety percent of erosion formation. Agents of erosion have also made addition to geology in the area during recent geological periods.            Highlights
 
Jharkhand Region has conducted a total allotted of four SOP (2017-18) during the month of June 2017 on the theme of 3rd International Yoga Day, Swachha Bharat Abhiyan, BBBP, GST, PMJDY etc. Daltonganj, Dhanbad, Gumla and Jamshedpur were the host unit.
Jharkhand region have completed 4 SOP during the month of August, 2017 on the theme of National Handloom Day, Sankalp Se Sidhi and quit india. Gaya, Chaibasa+Dhanbad,Daltonganj, Jamshedpur unit done each SOP during this month. Quiz, Rally, Cultural programme by SONG & DRAMA DIVISION also performed during the programme. Stunts by jawans also be performed.
