    VISION:

     We envision to inform and empower the people with awareness on central government policies and programmes –

           • Making people informed through interpersonal sustained publicity campaigning;

              • Bringing about attitudinal changes in the minds of the people through publicity programmes;

           • Mobilising public opinion in favour of implementation of welfare and development programmes.

    OUR MISSION:

     We act as a facilitator in coordination with state/ central government departments/ agencies to create awareness about the policies, programmes and achievements of the government.

     Our mission thus is to empower the weaker sections of society especially at the grass roots level with information about schemes meant for their betterment and persuade them to derive benefit from them.These include:-

                • To collect feedback and report to the development agency in measurable, analyzable and actionable manner.

                     • To the client Ministries to enable them to tailor their plan and formulate polices in the best interest of the common man.

      INDICATIVE EXPECTATIONS FROM SERVICE RECIPIENTS: Our services to the citizens are absolutely free. We do not charge fee for providing publicity support to our clients on various on-going national themes. However, we organize special programmes to focus on specific themes on client ministry/organisation’s request and these are organized on the basis of funds made available to DFP by the concerned ministry/ organization.

SUGGESTIONS: We welcome suggestions for improving the quality of our programmes and serving the citizens of the country through our programmes.

NEXT REVIEW OF THE CHARTER :

      e) Any grievance may first be lodged with the concerned Regional Officer.

      f) If not redressed within a reasonable time, it may be taken up with the Public Grievance Officer.

     g) If the grievance is still not redressed, the same may be taken up with the Joint Secretary (P & A), Ministry of I & B, Sixth Floor, Shastri Bhavan, New Delhi – 110001.

     RESPONSIBILITY CENTERS AND SUBORDINATE ORGANIZATIONS :

     The Directorate has 22 Regional Offices (detailed below) each headed by an Additional Director General/Director/Joint Director/Dy. Director level officer to supervise publicity activities of units under their jurisdiction. Presently there are 207 Field Publicity Units headed by a Field Publicity Officer and are equipped with audio-visual equipment, publicity literature, exhibition kits and a vehicle, which carry out the publicity activities on government policies and programmes.

        As part of publicity activities, film shows, song and drama programmes, sports meets, debates, competitions, quiz, seminars, talks, group discussions, healthy baby shows, rallies etc. are organized by our field units.

Highlights
 
May 2017: All 11 units of RO Raipur region telecast/broadcast PM's MANN KI BAAT live on April 30, 2017 in villages of their district and held a discussion with the villagers on how to put into practice what the PM said in his address to the people.Units in LWE districts like Jagdalpur, Kanker,Balaghat and Ambikapur saw villagers come in large numbers to listen to the PM's MANN KI BAAT. Prime Minister's app used a photo of DFP Jagdalpur field program in village Badedewra district Bastar of PM's MANN KI BAAT of April 30, 2017. From May 15, 2017 all 11 units of RO Raipur region have begun field programs on completion of 3 years of Govt. This campaign will last for one month and success stories of people who have benefited from Govt of India's flagship schemes are being recorded. Mandla unit of DFP Raipur region participated in the Narmada Seva Yatra which saw a huge turnout of people.DFP Mandla held programs on Swacchh Bharat
All 11 units of RO Raipur did field programs LIVE on PM's MANN KI BAAT. All through the month units did field programs called JAN KI BAAT World Environment Day was observed by units by holding rallies distributing saplings for planting in villages DFP Jabalpur did a field program on World Menstrual Hygiene Day on May 28 that.Two days workshop was held in Raipur on 13 & 14 June. The workshop was inaugurated by former Minister of State for I&B, Ramesh Bais. 10 SOPs organized in June 2017
September 2017 All 11 units of RO Raipur conducted field programs on Sept 27 where PM's MANN KI BAAT was shown live in districts of Chhattisgarh and Eastern MP,from LWE blocks to remote tribal hamlets. Units in Ambikapur, Jagdalpur , Durg and Mandla organised SOP's on SANKALP SE SIDDHI, from August 28 to August 31, 2017, which saw participation of people in large numbers and students participated in sports competitions like kabbadi, and volley ball. Pledge to build NEW INDIA by 2022 was taken by all those present on this occasion. national Nutrition Week was observed by all units of RO Raipur from Sept 1 to 7.Field programs were organised in anganwadis,schools, gram panchayats to spread awareness about proper diet for expectant mothers,adolescent girls and children and the ill effects of malnutrition. There is an increase in swine flu,H1N1,cases in many districts of Chhattisgarh and Eastern MP. Units of RO Raipur conducted field programs during this period to educate and create awareness about simple steps and precautions that if taken can prevent deaths from the H1N1 virus.
DFP, Raipur setup a stall at the Rajim Kumbh Mela which is visited by lakhs of people every year. This is the first time that DFP setup a stall in the Rajim Kumbh Mela. People who visited the stall were informed about the various welfare schemes of the Government of India. They were advised how to use mobile phone for making digital payment. To mark World Cancer Day on February 4, a series of field programme & awareness camps were organised by Jabalpur unit.
