Themes Covered
The Field Publicity Units under the Region carries out programmes ona variety of themes such as education (SSA), health &sanitation (NRHM), rural employment (MNREGS), rural development schemes, water conservation, women’s empowerment, child welfare, welfare of minority and deprived sections of society etc. The Programmes under Bharat Nirman are the special focus of the programmes conducted in the villages. The Units also conduct special programmes out of the funds given by the Client Ministries.A list of the themes covered by the Units is given below:

During the month of January, six DFP units in Gujarat arranged 64 film shows, 120 oral communication programmes, 58 photo exhibitions and 30 special interactive programmes on various issues. Through these programmes, they reached around 46 thousand people. A special campaign on ‘Direct benefit scheme’ was launched at Union territory of Daman & Diu where the program is being implemented initially. The programme attracted wide publicity in electronic and print media. 15 special programmes were organized as part of Health awareness campaign. Units organized special programmes on the occasion of National voters day and Republic day. They submitted 78 feedback reports.
