Welcome to Directorate of Field Publicity, Shillong
              The three Indian states of Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tripura collectively form the MMT region. The Regional Office located at Shillong, Meghalaya has eight Field Publicity Units (FPUs). Each unit has two to five districts under its area of operation. The eight unit offices are distributed in the three states with Jowai, Nongstoin, Tura and Williamnagar in Meghalaya, Aizawl and Lunglei in Mizoram, Agartala and Kailashahar in Tripura. Out of the eight units, seven units except for Aizawl unit are border units bordering Bangladesh.



              The FPUs conduct programme monthly in the villages on various socio-economic and developmental themes like education (SSA), health(NRHM), Rural Development, Bharat Nirman, NIrmal Bharat Abhiyan, Women’s Empowerment, National Integration and Communal Harmony covering people belonging to different cross section of society.

        During their programmes, the unit disseminates information on Governmnet’s programmes, policies and achievements and on other socially and developmental themes through interpersonal communication, film shows , by organizing seminars, symposium, public meetings, rallies, quiz contest, rural sports etc. amongst the rural masses and in the process collects important and vital feedbacks also on various developmental schemes.

 

Highlights
 
During the month of June 2016, DFP MMT Region organized 66 Normal Publicity Campaign. Apart from the Normal Tour Program, Regional Office, Shillong organized Orientation Workshop on the Theme ‘Two Years Achievements of Government’ and 5 SOP. The main themes are MCH&MI, PMJDY, SBA, BBBP, Atal Pension Yojana, Pradhan Matri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Skill India Mission, Gram Uday se Bharat Uday Abhiyan, 2 years achievement of Government, etc. In all DFP MMT Region organized 82 film shows, 144 oral comm. 84 photo exhibitions, 98 feedbacks and covered about 31,754 audiences approx.
During the month of May 2015, The Directorate of Field Publicity, MMT Region organized extensive publicity programs highlighting the themes on PMJDY, SBA and BBBP and Mission Indradhanush .
During the month of December 2014, DFP MMT undertook 72 Tour Days & covered 68 rural villages. Activities Highlights- 74 Film Shows, 16 Special Program, 213 Oral Communication, 64 Photo exhibition, 65 Feedbacks. Apart from Normal Publicity Program, DFP MMT organized 12 Special Outreach Program. Resource person from related department highlight the Themes, like Public Health Engineering for Swachh Bharat Mission, Social Welfare Department for Beti Bachao; Beti Padhao and State Bank of India for Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana.
During the month of Jan 2015 MMT Region launched SOP &the 8 FPUs emphasised the theme on PmJDY, SBA BBBP through Rally, Meeting, O.C, Phto Exhb., V/show, Quiz and other competitions involving Resorce persons from State Bank of India,Rural Bank, P.H.E and Dist Social Welfare. Village committee, local leaders, Youths, Teachers actively participated.
During the month of July 2015, MMT Region organized 80 extensive publicity programs mostly in rural areas. Apart from these programs, Field Publicity Units organized 3 Special Outreach Programs jointly, highlighting the themes on PMJDY, SBA, BBBP, Indradhanush Mission and also incorporated the 1 year achievement of Government 'Saal Ek Shuruaat Anek'.
During the month DFP, MMT Region organized 84 extensive publicity programs mostly in rural areas. Apart from these, FPUs organized 3 Special Outreach Programs jointly; highlighting the themes on PMJDY, SBA, BBBP, Indradhanush also incorporated the 1 year achievement of Govt. 'Saal Ek Shuruaat Anek'.
During the month of February 2016, DFP, MMT Region carried out 76 Publicity Campaign and 12 Special Outreach Programs. Also, the Field Units incorporated Pulse Polio Immunization on 21st & 22nd February 2016. With a view of more coverage & better impact of wide publicity through our mass media publicity like video shows, photo exhibition, interactive programs, group discussion, competitions like rural sports, quiz & public rally has been organized & feedback were collected during the programs. Prizes and Merit Certificates were awarded to the Winners of every competition.
During the month of January 2016, DFP MMT Region carried out extensive publicity programs. The Field Units of MMT Region incorporated National Pulse Polio Immunization on 17th January 2016. Apart from the normal tour program, this Region carried out Special campaign on RMNCH+A & MI and 2 PICs at Serchhip District, Mizoram and Smit, East Khasi Hills District, Meghalaya. In all, the number of activities conducted during the month is 1,552 and about 27,190 audiences approximately participated in different activities.
During the month on September 2015, Directorate of Field Publicity, MMT Region organized 79 Publicity programmes. On 10/9/2015 MMT Region organized Workshop on M&CH and MI followed by the Concluding Event of Special Outreach Programmes on 11/9/2015. On 29/9/2015, Dr. Engam Pame, Director, participated and monitored the Special Programme on M&CH and MI jointly organized by DFP, Jowai and Nongstoin Units at Mihmyntdu, West Jiantia Hills.
During the month of May 2016, DFP, MMT Region organized 79 Publicity Campaign. With a view of more coverage and better impact of wide publicity through our Mass Media Publicity like - Video shows, photo exhibition, interactive programs, group discussion, quiz, public rally, etc, has been organized and feedbacks were collected on the spot. Prizes and Merit Certificates have been awarded to the Winners of every competition. In all, DFP, MMT Region organized 75 film shows, 152 oral communications, 75 photo exhibitions, 70 feedbacks and covered about 18,049 audiences approximately.
During the month of April 2016, DFP, MMT Region organized 72 Publicity Campaign. Apart from the Normal Tour Programs, DFP, MMT also organized Special Program on “Gram Uday se Bharat Uday Abhiyan”. With a view of more coverage and better impact of wide publicity through our Mass Media Publicity like - Video shows, photo exhibition, interactive programs, group discussion, quiz, public rally, etc, has been organized and feedbacks were collected on the spot. Prizes and Merit Certificates have been awarded to the Winners of every competition. In all, DFP, MMT Region organized 73 film shows, 8 Special Programs, 1,245 oral communications, 73 photo exhibitions, 81 feedbacks and covered about 24,079 audiences.
During the month of October 2016, DFP MMT Region organized 1 Regional Orientation Workshop and 2 awareness campaign on RMNCH+A & MI and 63 Normal Publicity Campaign. In all, DFP MMT Region organized 59 film shows, 156 oral communication, 67 photo exhibitions, 76 feedbacks, 71 Villages and covered about 15,296 audiences approximately.
During the month of August 2016, DFP MMT Region organized 4 Special Outreach Program based on Azaadi 70 - Yaad Karo Qurbani” and two years achievements of Government, the Region also carried out 75 Normal Publicity Campaign. In all, DFP MMT Region organized 71 film shows, 144 oral comm. 82 photo exhibitions, 122 feedbacks and covered about 27,882 audiences approx.
During the month of December 2016, DFP MMT Region organized 78 Normal Publicity Program, for wide coverage, MMT region organized 75 film shows, 120 oral communication, 78 Photo exhibition and collected 97 feedbacks, covered 19691 audiences approximately from 78 rural villages.
During the month of April 2015, The Directorate of Field Publicity, MMT Region organized extensive publicity programs highlighting the themes on PMJDY, SBA and BBBP and Health Related programs on immunization and others. MMT covered 75 rural villages in the month of April 2015.
During the month of September 2016, DFP MMT Region organized 4 Special Outreach Program and 75 Normal Publicity Campaign. In all, DFP MMT Region organized 79 film shows, 193 oral communication, 81 photo exhibitions, 156 feedbacks and covered about 29,952 audiences approximately.
During the month of November 2016, DFP MMT Region organized 5 awareness campaign on RMNCH+A & MI and 76 Normal Publicity Campaign. In all, DFP MMT Region organized 82 film shows, 1 Special Programme, 228 oral communication, 76 photo exhibitions, 100 feedbacks, 87 Villages and covered about 24,270 audiences approximately.
During the month of January 2017, DFP MMT Region organized 76 Publicity Campaign. With a view of more coverage and better impact of wide publicity through our Mass Media Publicity like- Video shows, photo exhibition, interactive programs, group discussion, quiz,etc, has been organized and feedbacks were collected on the spot. Prizes and Merit Certificates have been awarded to the Winners of every competition. In all, DFP MMT Region organized 70 film shows, 116 oral communications, 74 photo exhibitions, 62 feedbacks and covered about 19,807 audiences approximately.
During the month under report the MMT Region launched special Outreach Programme in 3 states of Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tripura and covered rural villages. Highlighted the themes on PMJDY, SBA, BBBP and also highlight the 1 year Achievement of the govt. . F/activities are V/S, P/Exh, O/C & spl.prog.
During the month of November 2015, DFP MMT Region organized 76 film shows, 736 oral communication, 76 photo exhibitions, 96 feed backs and covered about 23,661 audiences approx. Besides the normal Tour programs, MMT Region organized 14 Special Publicity Campaign on Mother & Child Health and Mission Indradhanus covering 30 villages of rural areas. Apart from these programs, Field Units of MMT Region also participated in Public Information Campaign from 12-14 Nov 2015 in Kolasib district of Mizoram.
