    OUR VISION:

     We envision to inform and empower the people with awareness on central government policies and programmes –

           • Making people informed through interpersonal sustained publicity campaigning;

              • Bringing about attitudinal changes in the minds of the people through publicity programmes;

           • Mobilising public opinion in favour of implementation of welfare and development programmes.

    OUR MISSION:

     We act as a facilitator in coordination with state/ central government departments/ agencies to create awareness about the policies, programmes and achievements of the government.

     Our mission thus is to empower the weaker sections of society especially at the grass roots level with information about schemes meant for their betterment and persuade them to derive benefit from them.These include:-

                • Collecting feedback and reporting to the development agency in measureable, analyzable and actionable manner.

                     • To enable the client Ministries to tailor their plans and to formulate polices in the best interest of the common man.

      INDICATIVE EXPECTATIONS FROM SERVICE RECIPIENTS: Our services to the citizens are absolutely free. We do not charge fee for providing publicity support to our clients on various on-going national themes. However, we organize special programmes to focus on specific themes on client ministry/organisation’s request and these are organized on the basis of funds made available to DFP by the concerned ministry/ organization.

SUGGESTIONS: We welcome suggestions for improving the quality of our programmes and serving the citizens of the country through our programmes.

NEXT REVIEW OF THE CHARTER :

      e) Any grievance may first be lodged with the concerned Regional Officer.

      f) If not redressed within a reasonable time, it may be taken up with the Public Grievance Officer.

     g) If the grievance is still not redressed, the same may be taken up with the Joint Secretary (P & A), Ministry of I & B, Sixth Floor, Shastri Bhavan, New Delhi – 110001.

     RESPONSIBILITY CENTERS AND SUBORDINATE ORGANIZATIONS :

     The Directorate has 22 Regional Offices (detailed below) each headed by an Additional Director General/Director/Joint Director/Dy. Director level officer to supervise publicity activities of units under their jurisdiction. Presently there are 207 Field Publicity Units headed by a Field Publicity Officer and are equipped with audio-visual equipment, publicity literature, exhibition kits and a vehicle, which carry out the publicity activities on government policies and programmes.

        As part of publicity activities, film shows, song and drama programmes, sports meets, debates, competitions, quiz, seminars, talks, group discussions, healthy baby shows, rallies etc. are organized by our field units.

Highlights
 
During the month of April 2017, the region has organised 59 Routine programmes across the three states of Meghalaya, Mizoram & Tripura and has reached 14 Border villages and 26 Minority concentrated villages. The units in the region have mounted 58 Films shows, 90 Oral Communications, 58 Photo Exhibitions and covered a total of 59 villages with over 15000 audiences and collected 44 feedback responses.
In August 2017, the region has conducted three Special Outreach Programmes on National Handloom Day and two SOPs on Sankalp Se Siddhi. One more SOP on Sankalp Se Siddhi is being done at the end of the month. The region has also conducted special programmes on Independence day. Other routine programmes 53 villages which includes 19 Border villages and 21 Minority concentrated villages. A total of over 15000 audience has been covered in 51 routine programmes.
During the month of February 2017, the MMT Region has conducted seven Awareness Programmes on RMNCH+A in 3 states of Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tripura and covered rural villages. Highlighted the themes on PMJDY, SBA, BBBP, Digital transactions and also highlight the 2 year Achievement of the govt. . F/activities are V/S, P/Exh, O/C & spl.prog
During the month of March 2017, the MMT Region has conducted eleven Awareness Programmes on RMNCH+A in 3 states of Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tripura and covered rural villages. The region has also highlighted the themes of PMJDY, SBA, BBBP, Digital transactions and also highlight the 2 year Achievement of the government through activities like Film Shows, Photo Exhibition, Oral Communication & special programmes.
During the period under report the region has conducted 50 routine programmes on various themes in the three states of Meghalaya, Mizoram & Tripura. A total 47 film shows, 65 Group Discussions, 51 photo exhibitions, 41 feedback responses have been done in 41 villages covering about 13000 audiences.
The region has conducted 3 SOPs of first quarter and 56 routine programmes in the three states of Meghalaya, Mizoram & Tripura. In all the region has hosted 65 Film shows, 1 special programme, 124 group discussions and covered over 21000 audiences in 69 villages
