Guwahati at a Glance
             Popularly called as the land of the red river and blue hills, Assam is the gateway to the northeastern part of India. Assam is situated in the northeastern corner of India. Located between 24-28 degree north latitude and 90-96 degree east longitude, the state covers a total area of 78,523 square km or 30,318 square miles. It lies in close proximity of Bangladesh and Bhutan and is connected with the rest of India by the narrow Siliguri corridor. To its east lay Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Manipur, while Tripura stands in the west and Meghalaya, Mizoram are sited to the south. Together with Assam, these states are called as the Seven Sister States of India..

       


          Known for its scenic beauty, Assam serves as a major attraction for travelers and adventure seekers. LIST OF CANDIDATES QUALIFIED FOR SKILL TEST FOR RECRUITMENT OF FIELD PUBLICITY ASSISTANT (CLICK ON CIRCULAR/ORDER TO SEE THE LIST)
During this month, Silchar and Haflong units under Assam region have conducted RMNCH+A programme on 14th & 15th February at Shonbil in Karimgang district. Nagaon and Jorhat units also organized RMNCH+A programme on18th &20th February at Sukimbari in Nagaon district. Barpeta and Tezpur unit organized health programmes on same theme at Hatisingimari in Dhubri District on 19th &20th February.
