Welcome to Directorate of Field Publicity, Guwahati
              Out of total 22 regions of Directorate of Field Publicity all over the country, four regions are functioning in the north eastern part. Amongst the north eastern regions, Assam Region is one of the important region with its regional office located at Guwahati, the gateway city of north east. The DFP has been functioning in Assam since 1958 and carrying out its publicity activities in the state of Assam. Total 09 Field Units under this regional office cover all 27 districts of Assam. Each field Unit has 3-4 districts under its area of operation. These 9 units are located in Barpeta, Dibrugarh, Diphu, Haflong, Jorhat, Nagaon, North Lakhinmpur, Silchar and Tezpur. As such there is no border unit but area of jurisdiction of Barpeta, Silchar and Tezpur touch the border of Bhutan & Bangladesh.


              The units conduct programmes in the villages on a variety of themes such as education, health, rural development schemes, national integration, communal harmony, water conservation, women’s empowerment, child welfare, welfare of minority and deprived sections of society etc.

LIST OF CANDIDATES QUALIFIED FOR SKILL TEST FOR RECRUITMENT OF FIELD PUBLICITY ASSISTANT (CLICK ON CIRCULAR/ORDER TO SEE THE LIST)
ASSAM Assam Region sucessfully completed Phase III of Speacial Outreach Programme (SOP) in February 2016. Seven Field Publicity Units participated in 5 programmes. Multimedia programmes were organised in remote tribal as well as minority donimated areas highlighting the various government programmes especially of Financial Inclusion, Beti Bachao-Beti Parhao etc. Stalls were put up by the Banking and Insurance Institutions in which around 300 accounts were opened under Sukanya Samridhi Yojana and PM Jan Dhan Yojana.
