Welcome To DFP                                                                         The Directorate of Field Publicity is one of the Media Units of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. It is engaged in the task of publicizing various programmes and policies of the Government through its network of 207 Field Publicity Units under the control and supervision of 22 Regional Offices.Field Publicity came into existence in 1953 with 32 Field Publicity Units under the control of four Regional Offices.

ANDHRA PRADESH

10 FPUs organized SOP campaign on PMJDY, SBA & BB/BP & organized 15 Splprogs 15 rallies, active participation in 02 PICs at Jadcherlla & Narsipatnam, observed World Toilet Day on 19.11.14 & Communal Harmony Week from 19-25 Nov, 2014.


ASSAM

All units of Assam region conducted awareness activities on the theme of PM Han Dhan Yojana, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao programme during November,2014.


BIHAR

During this month DFP,Bihar region organized S.O.P (Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Beti bachao Beti Padho and PM Jan Dhan Yogna). All units organized 83 Film Show, 7 Special Programmes on S.O.P, 134 oral communication, 72 Photo Exhibitions and 66 Feedback collected.


CHHATTISGARH

During the reporting period Raipur Region has organized effective publicity programme on SOP theme with 10 SOPs progrmme . World toilet day on 19th November celebrated by units and delivered messages on its important . Quomi Akta week 19th to 25th November was also celebrated by FPUs .


GUJARAT

Special outreach programmes were organised at 11 locations across the state focussing on flagship programmes. Units participated in two fairs and two PICs thus reaching thousands of people. They collected 86 feedbacks.


JAMMU & KASHMIR

In view of Model Code of Conduct imposed in J&K State, the field units of DFP, J&K Region viz., Doda, Kathua, Leh, Poonch, Rajouri and Udhampur organised publicity activities on SVEEP.


JHARKHAND

All the seven units of Jharkhand Region organized several flagship programmes during the entire month with the theme of SVEEP, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao due to Model code of conduct in Jharkhand Region.


KARNATAKA

A special programme on SOP was conducted at Mallipatna on 11.11.2014 in which Smt. Bhagya Govindegowda, President, Zilla Panchayat, Hassan inaugurated the programme. Shri Narasigowda, President, Taluk Panchayat, Arkalgud presided. Another special programme on SOP was arranged at Konanur on 13.11.2014 in which Shri Narasigowda, President, Taluk Panchayat, Arkalgud inaugurated the programmeSmt. S.Soumya Lokest, President, Gram Panchayat, Konanur presided.


KERALA

The units have organized various programmes such as film show, special programmes, competitions, and photo exhibitions on Swatch Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yajana and Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao .


MAHARASHTRA

महाराष्ट्र और गोवा प्रदेश की इकाइयों ने World Toilet Day, Communal Harmony Week and Flag Day, राष्‍ट्रिय एकता दिवस और Vigilance Awareness Week पर जनजागृति की। संबंधित दिवस पर शपथ लि।


MMT

During the month, DFP MMT Region undertook 72 Tour Days & covered 77 rural villages. Highlights of Field activities are- 76 Film Shows, 22 Spl Programs, 197 O/C, 74 Photo exhb, 71 Feedbacks. Feedback couldn't upload online. Theme of the month PMJDY, Swatcch Bharat and Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.


NAGALAND & MANIPUR

Topics such as Jan Dhan Yojana, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Swachh Bharat were communicated during the month. The region also highlighted the merits of National integration and communal Harmony during its publicity activities.


NORTH WEST

Unit covered 14 villages of Block Batala and arranged 18 film shows, 16 exhibitions, 25 OC's and one special programme to create awareness regarding PM's JDY, Beti Bachao Beti Padao, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. During this 2100 audience were covered.


ORISSA

The DFP Odisha region visited 103 villages and semi urban areas of the state and addresses arround 80000 target audiences of the different walks of life. The region took part in two PICs held at Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi district and Gunapur in Rayagada district of the state in the November,2014.


RAJASTHAN

In November,2014, DFP Rajasthan has organized 216 programme activities on Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, Swach Bharat Abhiyan. These programme activities includes 19 quiz programmes, 39 Film Shows, 109 Oral Communication and 49 Photo exhibitions.


UTTAR PRADESH

Campaign on Swatch Bharat-Swatch Ganga Abhiyan, Varanasi has been organised by the Units of Lucknow Region.


UTTARANCHAL

The units of this region organized 78 FS, 19 Spl. Prog, 78 OC, 71 PE on the subject SBM, BBBP, PMJDY, MANREGA, PPI and RTI and covered the 70 villages during the month.


WEST BENGAL(NORTH)

One day Workshop on Special Programmes on the themes “ Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana” beti Bachao/Beti padao/ “ Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” was organized by the Regional office, West Bengal(North ) and Sikkim Region. All the Field In charge/ FPAs attended the Workshop which was held at the Inspection Bunglow, Siliguri on the 13th November, 2014. The “Workshop” was inaugurated by the Regional Manager, Central Bank of India Shri R. N. Das. In his address on “ Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana” Mr. Das as capacity of lead Bank of the Scheme in the District highlighted the Scheme. There was good interaction between the field officials and other Bank officials on “Prime Minister Jan Dhan Yojana” and they assured a full cooperation in the region. A Special Outreach Program was organized by FPU Cooch Behar with the partner unit DFP, Jalpaiguri at Cooch Behar in Rass Mela on 18th November,2014 to 20th November,2014. DFP, Gangtok and Jorethang unit participated in the Public Information Campaign (PIC) during the month of Novembeer, 2014 at Melli, East Sikkim. During the PIC the DFP units covered nearby villages to create awareness on the themes.


WEST BENGAL(SOUTH)

In the month of November 2014 DFP, West Bengal(S) Region organized Special Outreach Programmes(SOP) in the districts of Nadia and Hooghly. FPU Ranaghat along with Partner FPU Medinipur organized 3 SOPs in BADP areas of Nadia district namely Bhairabchandrapur, Kaikhali Kalitala and Shibnibas under Hanskhali and Krishnaganj blocks from 10th to 15th November 2014. Similarly FPU Chuchura along with Partner FPU Bankura organized another 3 SOPs in backward areas under Balagarh and Polba-Dadpur blocks of Hooghly district from 17th to 22nd November 2014. Altogether 41 group discussions, 08 special programmes, 18 photo exhibitions and 24 film shows were conducted while a total 14425 people(Approx.) were covered in the month of November 2014. Total 80 feedback on SOP were collected by the units of West Bengal(South) Region in November 2014. Another 03 nos. SOPs organized by FPUs Burdwan and Baharampur in villages of district Burdwan during 24—29 November,2014 will be reported in next CMPR. Before launching the outreach campaign, Directorate of Field Publicity, Regional Office, West Bengal (South), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India organized a sensitization and orientation Workshop for Special Outreach Programmes(2014—2015) on the issues like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana(PMJDY) and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao on 3rd November 2014 at Salt Lake City, Kolkata. The Workshop was attended by Shri Dibyendu Sarkar, IAS, Commissioner, Dept. of Panchayats & RD, Govt. of West Bengal, Shri K.Venkatachalam, General Manager, UCO Bank, Circle Head, Kolkata, Shri M Asadur Rahman, Chief Field Office, UNICEF, West Bengal, Shri Santanu Paladhi, ADG,(M&C), PIB, Kolkata, Shri A Sengupta, AGM(F.I.) United Bank of India, Shri R.R. Halder,AGM,(Out Reach), State Bank of India, Shri Ranjit Roy, AGM, United Bank of India Lead Bank Division, Shri Ganesh Chowdhury, State Coordinator, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan(Grmeen), SIPRD, Shri Pijush Adhikari, IEC Consultant(CCDU),TSC, State Sanitation Cell, SIPRD, Shri Nasir Ateeq, Communication for Development Specialist, UNICEF and Smt. Upali Roy, Special Officer, Directorate of Social Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal, Smt. B. Palchowdhury, Dy. Director, Song & Drama Division, Kolkata, representatives of various registered NGOs, Media personnel including Doordarshan, AIR, Kolkata and DFP field officials. Smt. Shubha Gupta, Director, DFP Kolkata presided over the various sessions of the day-long workshop. Besides, West Bengal(South) Region including FPUs observed ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ from 27th October to 1st November 2014 and ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ on 31.10.2014 by taking solemn pledge both in Hindi and English respectively. FPUs Chuchura & Bankura also observed World Toilet day on 19th November 2014 with suitable publicity programmes during SOP activities.
